I am not a maker of Pancasila. I am not a creator of Pancasila. I merely put into words some feelings existing among people, to which I gave the name of Pancasila. I dug in the ground of the Indoneslan people and I saw in the heart of the Indonesian nation that there were five feelings there....
I formulated what we know to day as Pancasila. I merely formulated it because these five feelings had already lived for scores of years, even hundreds of years in our innen most hearts.
